IMPORTANT NOTE: The required ankle moment is the moment measured during gait WITHOUT ankle foot orthosis
AFO WISE Select - The first evidence based AFO selection tool
Please note that the AFO select WISE tool is only usable for people with a maximal ankle moment <0.8 Nm/kg. A higher maximal ankle moment might indicate that there is only mild calf muscle weakness or a higher passive musle force. The underlying prediction formula is not validated for people with a higher maximal ankle moment.
