My name is Niels Waterval, a passionate researcher working at the Amsterdam UMC.
My research mainly centers on optimizing ankle-foot orthoses for people with calf muscle weakness and translating this knowledge into clinical practice. For this purpose I use advanced measurement techniques such as 3D gait analysis and predictive simulations.
